Shorter variety is more bitter than the long variety. Today I am going to use the shorter variety to make a raw salad. which is lovely to consume.

1. Soak the chopped 150 grms finely chopped bitter melon pieces in water with 1 tablespoon of salt for about half an hour.After that drain and squeeze the bitter melon pieces with both of your hands. Rinse to remove salt.
2. Mix bitter melon, 1 onion
chopped very finely and 1 green chilli
chopped fine in a large bowl.
3. Add 1 tablespoon of lime juice (Kasturi lime here) or lemon juice and 1 teaspoon salt.

This is a raw bitter melon salad. You will be taken by surprise if you try out this recipe. This has only 5 ingredients. When I made this salad there was no trace of bitterness. It was very delicious. I used shorter and longer variety of bitter melon in equal proportions.
