This is an unusual combination for a stir-fry. It was tasty.
I have already posted plantain stir-fry. I have added only prawns in this recipe.

1. Peel 2 raw plantains. Cut into ½ inch cubes and  immerse the pieces in water as soon as you cut with salt to prevent discoloration. 

2. Drain and boil them crunchy for 10 minutes with ½ a teaspoon of turmeric and ¼ salt. Cool and mash them by hand.

3. Wash 200 grams prawns with ½ teaspoon of turmeric and half a teaspoon of salt and boil in a medium saucepan for 10 minutes.
Drain and and cool. Shred the boiled pawns. You can use food processor.

4. Mix the plantain pieces and prawn together in a medium sized bowl. Mash them both to form a thick paste. Add ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and ½ teaspoon salt and mix well. 

5. Add 300 grams shredded coconut. Set the mixture aside.

6. In a medium sized frying pan or a wok add 3 table spoon oil and heat it up.  When the oil is hot add 2 onions chopped coarsely and reduce the heat to low. Fry for 10 minutes or until the onions are translucent.

7. Add 1 dry red chili broken into small pieces,1 green chili sliced into thin slices, 10 curry leaves chopped fine . Fry for 3 minutes. Add 1 inch ginger and 3 cloves garlic made into a paste.

8. Add the plantain, prawn  and coconut mixture and stir briskly. Fry for about 10 minutes. Cook in slow fire. once or twice just cover the wok or pan for the spices to cook. Do not cover long just one or two minutes.

The stir-fry is ready. You can serve this with rice or bread. It is a very tasty dish that you can enjoy. This curry alone is enough to eat rice. It is large quantity as I made this curry for a dinner.

Ingredients:
Main
2 raw (unripe) plantains
200 grams prawns
300 grams shredded coconut
Others
2 onions chopped coarsely
1 green chili sliced into thin slices
10 curry leaves chopped into small pieces.
3 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
3 table spoon vegetable oil
½ teaspoon salt
Spices
1½  teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon chili powder
1 dry red chili broken into small pieces

 Preparation
Peel the plantain.  You can peel with a potato peeler. As plantain peel is highly fibrous, often this will clog the potato peeler. You can also peel with a sharp knife.
Cut into ½ inch cubes.

As you cut the plantain you should immerse the pieces in water to prevent discoloration due to oxidation.. You can add a little salt also to the water.

Once you have cut all the plantains, boil them for 10 minutes in a medium sauce pan with ½ a teaspoon of turmeric and ¼ salt.

 Do not boil long let it be a bit crunchy.Drain and set aside to cool.

Mash the boiled plantain pieces by hand.

Wash the prawns. Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric and half a teaspoon of salt and boil in a medium saucepan for 10 minutes.

Drain and set aside tom cool. I shredded the boiled in a food processor.

Mix the plantain pieces and prawn together in a medium sized bowl. Mash them both to form a thick paste. Add ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and ½ teaspoon salt and mix well. Add the shredded coconut
Set the mixture aside.

Method
In a medium sized frying pan or a wok add the oil and heat it up.  When the oil is hot add the onions and sliced dry red chili pieces and reduce the heat to low. Fry for 10 minutes or until the onions are translucent. Add green chili and curry leaves. Fry for 3 minutes. Add garlic ginger paste.
