Cabbage and potato make a great combination for a mild dish. Adding coconut milk further enhances the flavour of the dish.

1 In a large frying pan or a wok add 2 tbsp  oil. Heat it up and reduce heat.
Ingredients

2 Add 125 grams chopped onion,  sliced 3 cloves garlic, 5 grams ginger,  1 chopped green chili and 10 curry leaves. Slightly brown the ingredients for 10 minutes.

3 Add the 250 grams cabbage,  200 grams 
potato, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2 cups water, 1 tsp salt and bring to boil

4 Reduce the heat to low. Simmer covered until both cabbage and potatoes,  are soft to you liking.

5 Add 1/2 cup coconut milk, 1/2 tsp pepper and salt and simmer for three minutes, uncovered.

Taste for seasoning and adjust.

250 grams cabbage, cut into small pieces
200 grams potato, sliced into small pieces

Others
125 grams onion, coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic
5 grams ginger, finely shredded
1 green chili, cut into small pieces
10 curry leaves
½ cup coconut milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Water 

Spices
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp pepper

Preparation 
Peel and slice the potatoes into bite size pieces. We want the potato to slightly dissolve into the gravy and give a nice texture to the dish.
Method
In a large frying pan or a wok ad the oil and heat it up. When the oil is hot reduce the heat to medium and add onion, garlic, ginger, green chili and curry leaves. Slightly brown the ingredients for 10 minutes. It will be necessary to stir the contents frequently to prevent them from burning.

Add the cabbage, potatoes, water, and turmeric powder and bring to the boil.

Stir well.

Reduce the heat to low. Simmer covered for 15 minutes or until both cabbage and potatoes are soft to you liking.
