Spicy fried chicken wings

Fried chicken wings are favorite comfort food among young children and teenagers. These are usually deep fried in batter.
Today I am going to make spicy fried wings which will be better suited for adults as a snack. Particularly it goes well with cool beer.

1. Wash and cut 500 grams wings along the joints. You can use a pair of scissors.

2. Dry the chicken pieces completely using paper towel or kitchen towel.

3. Grind 3 cloves garlic 5 grams ginger slicer to a paste.

4. Mix all the ingredients  2 teaspoon chili powder,
1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder,
1 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 cup vegetable oil  for marinating in a glass bowl.
Cover the glass bowl with cling foil.
Leave the bowl in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.

5. Heat 1 cup oil in a medium sized frying pan or a wok till oil reaches 300°F. Fry the wings in batches of 5 or 6 pieces. This will save you some oil. It will take about 6 to 8 minutes for the wing to turn into slightly dark brown color. Once the wings are well cooked remove them with a slotted spoon and continue with the other batches.

Now the fried wings are ready. Serve while warm.

Note: Garlic and ginger paste will make the chicken wings soft for frying.
