For long coconut was avoided because of its saturated fat content. Coconut oil is known to cure Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Researchers have acknowledged the antiviral, antibacterial, and anti fungal properties of coconut. Coconut also has the ability to increase good cholesterol (HDL) and decrease bad cholesterol (LDL). Mother’s milk is considered to be the most perfect food. Coconut milk is found to be the closest match to mother’s milk.

Coconut milk is delicious and can be consumed on its own as a drink. Coconut is good for you and don’t hesitate to use it to enhance the flavour of whatever you are cooking. Fresh coconut milk can be extracted from shredded coconut kernel. Concentrated coconut milk is available in Tetra Pak cartons, in cans and in powder form.
