Avocado is a nutritious vegetable and it goes well with many vegetables. Today I am going to make the salad with tomato, turnip, carrot and beans. This is an easy salad to make. It is very delicious too. All people like salads. Salads can be served as an appetizer, side dish or main course. It can also be served as a dessert when sweet ingredients are included.

1. Peel 300 grams avocado. How to peel and cut avocado is

Squeeze a few drops of juice from lime (½ lime) on the cut avocado slices. The lime juice will prevent the discoloration of avocado.

2.  julienne 300 grams turnip.

3. Cut 30 grams red cherry tomatoes into halves, 15 grams yellow cherry tomatoes into halves, cut 25 grams kai-lan into thin pieces,
julienne 40 grams carrot (½ carrot), slice 50 grams French beans thinly, cut 50 grams green capsicum into small cubes, slice 1 green chili thinly, slice 1 red chili thinly, slice 40 grams onion  (1 onion) thinly, grate 5 grams ginger.

Mix all the vegetables, including avocado, in a large bowl.  Add 25 grams sunflower seeds. Squeeze the remaining lime. Add 1 teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper and mix well. Dribble 2 tablespoon olive oil.


The salad is ready. It can be taken as a meal. It can be served as a side dish or it can be served with rice or bread.


Turnip is a sweet crunchy vegetable. I added the chili to balance the sweetness. If you don’t like the chili you can leave it out.
