This is an easy preparation. I make this into slightly bigger particles. This will be like the South Indian puttu or upuma. Whatever it may be called, I like this preparation very much.

1 In a big pan add 1000 ml water, 250 ml coconut milk,1 tsp  salt and bring to the boil.

Roasted brown rice flour


2. Take the pan off the heat. 

3 Add 500 grams couscous and stir vigorously with a long handle of a spoon.

4 Cover and leave it rest for 5 minutes.




5 Open and add 2 cups roasted rice flour and stir well with a long stick.

6 Add 100 grams grated coconut and stir.

7. Fill the steaming pan with couscous mixture and steam for 4 minutes
            



 Healthy steamed couscous with roasted brown rice  is ready.

500 grams couscous
2 cups roasted brown rice flour
100 grams grated coconut

Others
1000 ml water
250 ml coconut milk
1 tsp salt





 Method
In a big pan add water, coconut milk and salt and bring to the boil.

Take the pan off the heat. 

Add couscous and stir vigorously with a long handle of a spoon. I use a long chopstick.

Cover and leave it rest for 5 minutes.

Add rice flour and stir well with a long stick.

Fill the steaming pan with couscous mixture and steam for 4 minutes

When you get the steamed smell remove from the steamer and just stir with the long stick again.

It’s done. It can be served with baked meat, vegetable curry. sambol fried egg fried brinjal.

 Fried-chili-paste-mixed-with-grated coconut (sambol) is the bestcompanion.
